Festival Internacional de Música de Almansa
Dear Public:
As Director of the International Music Festival of Almansa, I have to tell you that we have put all our efforts in the organization and production of the already realized five International Music Festivals, with operas, conferences, international courses of music, dance, singing and conducting, with symphonic, soloists, chamber, recitals, pedagogical, open air and benefit concerts; with artists from 38 countries, members of orchestras such as the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Mozart Orchestra, and many of the orchestras of Spain, among others. To highlight the special collaboration agreement established with the International Festival "Siberia-Asia-Europe" of Krasnoyarsk (Russia), thanks to which, we could count in Almansa with the presence of the "Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra" during the IV and V festival, and the one with the Young Wind Philharmonic Orchestra of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) who participated in the V Festival and of course, to highlight the participation of so many international soloists such as the soprano Jacquelyn Wagner, the baritone Markus Bruck, the tenor Yoseph Kang, the trumpeters Reinhold Friedrich and Manuel Blanco, the castanet player Lucero Tena, the violinist Kolja Blacher or the bassoonist Guilhaume Santana, as an example and among many others that you can find in our list of soloists in the artists section of this website.
As an “Almanseño” who, due to circumstances of life and work, lives outside my city, I can tell you that Almansa is a special city, its people are wonderful and always welcome you with open arms. Whoever visits it, feels part of it. It has a great cultural-historical-artistic heritage. It has a very important business sector and its citizens are active and enterprising. There are exquisite wines, magnificent restaurants and businesses of all kinds. We also commemorate in a very special way every April 25, the Historical Recreation of the "Battle of Almansa", which in 1707 was decisive in the future of Europe, and we celebrate from May 1 to 6 our Major Festivities in honor of Our Lady of Bethlehem, declared of International Tourist Interest. I invite all the citizens of the world to come to the city where I was born, ALMANSA, my city, so that they can enjoy an exceptional place, and if they happen to come on the dates on which the VI International Music Festival will be held, I hope that they will have the opportunity to share with us some of the performances that we will organize.
Through these lines, I would like to thank all the public institutions, the private companies, the collaborating establishments, the volunteers and especially the public for their help in making the Almansa International Music Festival possible.
